The Gleneagles Greenway is located in the eastern side of Fayette County, northwest of I-75 and along Polo Club Boulevard. It consists of approximately 26.3 acres which were accepted by the LFUCG within the Gleneagles Subdivision. These greenways will link residential areas, Polo Club Boulevard, the Brighton East Rail Trail, and Deer Haven Park and Pleasant Ridge Park. During the week of August 25, 2008 two groups of energetic student volunteers from The University of Kentucky and Transylvania University volunteered time and effort to remove the invasive overgrowth of bush honeysuckle from the greenway and trail.

On June 28, 2008 under threatening skies 6 KRTC members toured the Monon Trail, the Central Canal Towpath and connecting trails in Indianapolis, IN. Combination of railtrail and other shared used trails connect communities, shopping districts, state fairgrounds, museums, schools and parks. The riders did from 15 miles to 30 miles with lots of stops for looking. The majority of trails are paved however the canal towpath is fine packed gravel. A big thank you to Cheryl Wyatt for organizing the trip.
