KRTC sponsored a trip to the Virgina Creeper Trail in Abingdon, VA. We had 24 riders participating on this ride. Everyone had a great time, even those caught in the rain. Thanks Helen for organzing everything.

20 adults and 4 children made the Kentucky Rails to Trails Council trip to the Virginia Creeper Trail. The Virginia Creeper Trail is a 34 mile public access, shared-use trail connecting Abingdon, Virginia with the Virginia-North Carolina Border 1.1 miles east of Whitetop Station, Virginia. The trail was never empty during the day and there were frequent small stands and picturesque shops selling lunch and snacks along the trail and the towns and larger stops were full of shops and people. All were impressed with the amazing trestles and bridges, sharp curves and steep grades.
