Brighton East Rail Trail is the first rail trail in Fayette County. Construction of the first phase was completed in December 2006. This one mile paved trail from Bryant Road to Pleasant Ridge Drive is the first phase of a five mile trail in the area. Construction of Phase 2, from Pleasant Ridge Drive to Walnut Grove Lane was completed in 2013. This section is one mile. Parking for the trail is at Pleasant Ridge Park, 1350 Pleasant Ridge Drive.
